Study Abroad in Australia

Education is a key priority for the Australian Government. Every year, the Federal Budget allocates significant funding to strengthen the infrastructure and facilities of schools, universities, and higher education institutions. This commitment is one of the many reasons Australia continues to be among the world’s most popular destinations for international students.

Applying for a Student Visa

An Australian Student Visa (Subclass 500) allows you—and any eligible dependents—to legally live in Australia for the duration of your studies. It also provides the opportunity to work part-time while your course is in session and enjoy unlimited work rights during semester breaks.

By partnering with an experienced Registered Migration Agent (RMA) and Education Consultant, you can focus on preparing for your new life in Australia while we handle the complexities of the visa process. At BFES, we take care of the details—so you can focus on your future.

  • Participate in an eligible course of study in Australia
  • Travel in and out of Australia
  • Work up to 48 hours a fortnight when your course of study or training is in session (students studying a masters by research or doctoral degree, and their families, have no work limit).

To be eligible for an Australian Student Visa, applicants must:

  • Obtain a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) in a full-time CRICOS-registered course.
  • Satisfy the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement.
  • Demonstrate access to sufficient funds to support tuition, living expenses, and travel.
  • Meet the required age criteria for the visa.
  • Fulfil health and character requirements as set by Australian authorities.
  • Provide evidence of meeting the English language requirements.
  • Secure Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the entire duration of stay in Australia.

With an approved Australian Student Visa (Subclass 500), you can:

  • Live and study in Australia for up to 6 years, depending on the length of your course.
  • Experience the Australian lifestyle while earning a globally recognised qualification.
  • Gain local work experience through part-time employment opportunities, as permitted under visa conditions.
  • Explore future pathways, including the option to apply for a Graduate Visa upon successful completion of your studies
